What's Blooming in the Garden Today
Comments (17)Dear Eric, OOOhhh how lovely your garden Blooms!!! I live in Victoria on Vancouver Island and have just bought my first rose bush - Gruss An Aachen. I see you have one and your roses are truly spectacular. could you give me a few tips? Would you please recommend your favorite rose gardening book for good tips on growing them? Would half day or full day sun be best for this species? Do you add coffee grounds to your rose beds? I adore roses and I have shyed away from them for a long time because I've heard they can be hard to grow. I've only been gardening for the past 6 years although an avid gardener I am still a beginner. Any tips would be so very much appreciated! Thank you for posting your fabulous photos!!! The fruit of all this hashing about stripes is that for the three little grandgirls that have a big woodsy yard to dig and climb and wander over to look and smell the flowers, for them I AM buying a Striped Rose ! Now which one......See Morecincy_city_garden
