Hey you guys!! Palatine's new list is up!

A revamped website and the new season's roses. Not much "that" new that I could see that I couldn't live without. I thought somebody said they were going to offer the Kordes striped roses SIMSALBIM and FIDIBUS? Oh well, I don't need anything anyway.... Well, maybe SAHARA FREELANDER, ROYAL ASCOT and the DA rose SUMMER SONG.

How do you view the roses that are available?

When I click on roses, it appears you need the specific name of the rose you want.

I know... it was hard to figure it out at first. You just place an asterisk (*) in the box and hit "search." Then it comes up with the entire list. Have fun looking!

Thanks guys! Kristy, that's a good idea. I had tried to use my kids' laptops to get on, but the ports are missing. 3 laptops, and not one of them could get on either. ugh. Gonna have to get somekinda back-up..my comp has crashed on me several times already today. Completely shuts down and restarts on it's own. Lotsa error reports. I wonder if the main problem is Windows XP? Gonna have to maybe uninstall and re-install it. But I don't have the WinXP software to manually download it, and I am scared that if I uninstall it I won't be able to get online to reinstall it. Maybe the comp guy can do it for me. I'll have to give him a call..I just feel bad about bothering him cuz he spent so much time on my comp already, and did alot more than he had to, and he didn't charge us since he's my son's friend's dad. I don't want him to feel like I am taking advantage. what to do, what to do.

Hi supaflyz, I have a Jackmanii and has been in the ground for 3 years and I'm east of you in Beaumont. It will go dormant in the winter and before spring, prune back, and it will put up new growth. Jeanne (who's north of you) is our area expect; maybe she will chime in.

Thank you all so much,Lucy that is why I came here for the support and love that this extended family always has.I can count on you all being here. Amelia pepper lady-I have a brace with metal on the top and bottom of the wrist to keep it in place,no surgery Thank Goodness.It is one of the small bones,and just cracked,so they think just the brace for a few weeks and I will be fine,and you are right I have a hard time not doing,I am always doing something,I don't even have my Christmas tree up,we might have to do with Christmas dishes and a decorated table this year. Daniella Thanks keep those prayers coming because I think that is what's keeping me going. We had about 9.5 inches of snow on christmas day, east of Topeka. Nieces still drove down from Kansas City on Friday. Monday I found my back alley office door blocked with ice and snow from the plows. Needs to warm up!

Many new intros are Austins; perhaps Austins perform better in Canada than here.

Austins are absolutely stunning in a climate that suits them. Some do well here, not all, but in climates that suit them nothing is more beautiful! I've seen them with my own eyes and couldn't believe the difference in how they grow here versus milder climates without heavy blackspot pressure!

That Kleopatra is a looker! Sebastian Kniep is lovely, I'm not familiar with it. Wonder if the thrips would love it? :-)

The bareroots I've gotten from Palatine were the biggest and healthiest I have ever received from anyone.

Palatine's fall shipping season is Sep-Oct; fall planting of Palatine bare roots worked very well for us last year.

I've already put in my order for April '09 delivery. We were very happy with what Palatine sent us this year.

Yep placed my order yesterday. Everything I received last year did great so I am planning on some fall plantings. They have some gorgeous ones. Judy

I decided not to put in a new garden next year so I could only browse, but they have some lovely roses on that list. I'll have a very long list by this time next year.
