Mineral deficiency?

plantinellen

I recently bought a novelty hybrid tea rose during a clearance sale. (The variety name escapes me, but one side of the petal is red and the other white.)

The plant was not in great shape when I took it home -- many dead and missing leaves -- but after some fertilizing and watering new growth took off, and now the bush has a healthy covering of leaves.

The leaf color, however, isn't healthy. The leaves are pale, with darker veins.

I'm thinking that there's a mineral deficiency in the soil. What do you think might be going on here? Is there a rose disease whose symptoms include leaves exhibiting this type of discoloration?
