I'm thrilled that my Therese Bugnet, a young plant that bloomed for the first time this year, is reblooming already. I did some very minor trimming of the tips after the first bloom and was surprised to see new canes coming from the ground and new growth on the older canes, all of which developed buds. This seems to be a great rose for a hot, dry climate and I love the appearance and fragrance of the blooms. I was a little unsure whether a rugosa, even a hybrid, would do well here, but had read that this rose did well in warm climates also, and that certainly has turned out to be true. The leaves on this rose look better than those of many other roses in my garden in the heat, and it is growing in full sun.
