This is your only living space, correct? Will there be tv in the room? I'm trying to figure out if there is a focal point.

Regarding the window that faces your neighbor, if you want to take advantage of the natural light you may want to get sheers. The size dining table will depend on how many people you usually have sitting there to eat. My dining table has a leaf in it, in case I need to expand it. I find that very helpful. A round table will be easier to get around than a square or rectangular one. An oval one may be even better. Depends on your needs. A chaise is very pretty, but I don't know how practical it is. I personally like more space to move around in than stuff. You have to consider the amount of space you have to work with. Try to make lighting an important part of your plan. I like a table lamp or wall sconce in each corner at chest height.

its large enough you can bring in botanical patterns or geometric patterned textiles. Color of your own choosing. The far wall w fireplace and clock in the living room would be nicer if lighter. You could take the same hue just lighter. It looks a little dreary/nearly gray which is going to be yesterday's aesthetic if not already...... then almost any color scheme would be nice or neutrals for that matter. More I look at it...ceiling is not high..I'd lighten that wall...others walls if you feel like it , and work w neutrals. Just a pop of blue for accents...or green....enjoy your new home!!!!

My husband and I were already considering putting a sectional along the left wall as you described, so I'm glad you see that as a good option, too! Beverly, I like your layout of the living area! Is there a reason for the rounded table vs. a rectangular table? I assumed a rectangular table would look better, so just curious. Thank you again for your suggestions!
