No. I've been through this discussion before.
As I recall, it was supposed to have been brought from Russia, and I've never heard anyone say that they actually know about it.

yes, I posted this last yr. I was hoping maybe someone who didn't see it then would see it now. It was bought as 3 roses. One was red, can't remember the other. This one is going strong.

I am not a great rose expert, so my input is minimal. Since there doesn't seem to be a rose called Empress of Russia, perhaps it could give you at least some starting points. The only rose originating in Russia with the word Empress in it is the Empress of the North, which is a hybrid rugosa and obviously not your rose. (There is the Empress Marie of Russia, but being a yellow tea it is unlikely to have come from Russia or to be your rose).
The only pink rose with a Russian name that is widely in commerce and that I know of is Anna Pavlova. However, that doesn't seem to match your rose either (however, you can see pics of it on HMF and judge for yourself).
There was a Russian hybridizer called Shushkov. The only rose they have pics of on HMF is Kolkhoznitsa. It doesn't seem to be a perfect match for your rose either. You can click on his name and see his list of plants, perhaps something will look familiar.

I just did a quick search on helpmefind.com/roses under "emp" and got all the emperors and empresses--there are some possiblities, including names of specific Russian rulers. Since you have the rose, check the listings. You could also do a search for "Russia" in case it was a "queen" or "princess."

Flower reminds me strongly of the HT 'Royal Highness,' which has exceptionally long buds. Foliage is compatible with that ID, if I recall correctly, though the older foliage of RH is dark green. RH has a medium to good tea scent, if you can smell tea scent.

"Arching" habit is not compatible, although RH makes a tall, willowy plant.

The name "Empress of Russia" is the sort of fake name that mass marketers resort to when an out-of-patent rose has a trademarked name.

I agree that 'Empress of Russia' is probably a fake name since the title Emperor/Empress is rarely, if ever, used in reference to Russian sovereigns and their consorts. Czarina (or Tsarina) would have been the obvious title to use.

A probably extinct HT that bears a resemblance -- at least color-wise -- to the photo above is 'Rosa Kaiserin' (Kaiserin is the German term for empress).

To me it's very close to 'Royal Highness' but not quite 'Royal Highness'. I wonder if it could be the offspring of 'Royal Highness', 'Brides Dream'? Any fragrance? RH is quite tea-fragrant, BD not much.

I shut the flash off. I don't know how to describe the deep pink that appears on her edges as she opens. The pedals feel unlike any other rose I have. They re not delicate at all. You can handle her without a petal dropping. Very tough rose. At my other house she was in the ground. Zone 5 winters. Thanks so much for your help. Donna
