Is anyone else not getting messages sent to email?

I have posted quite a bit lately, I make sure the little box is checked, but ever since there was so much problems with the site, I dont get any replies forwarded to my email like I did before. Is anyone else having this problem? I get emails from other members sent thru GW.

Well...it's not just AVG who's being cautious...although I didn't access/read your link Raven. I had a "blocked" notice here at the table from Malwarebytes today. I should note that I have the Pro [paid] version of Malwarebytes. And...it's not the first time I've had such an experience here lately. sigh Anne

Getting Emails Sent To You...3-step Process There are three things you have to do to get emails sent to you when someone posts to a thread you started: Be sure you have a valid/current email address in your profile Again in your profile, be sure you have the "Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site." box checked (at the bottom of the profile page) Be sure to check the box labeled "Check here if you would like copies of follow-ups to your message emailed to you" when you submit your post. (Below the "Message" box) Hmmm...maybe a 4th step...don't forget to "Save Your Member Profile" when you make changes! (button at bottom of profile page) If you do all 3 (or 4!) things, you should get an email when someone posts to your message. Note: Some members have said they still have problems getting emails. I seem to always get emails, but I have noticed that occasionally there will be a several hour delay and once there was a several day delay...I don't know why. Also, check your Junk Mail, sometimes the emails end up there. Add "gardenweb_user@gardenweb.com" to your "safe senders" list as well. If you still don't get emails, check with your internet service provider and be sure emails from GW are not being filtered out as junk before they get to you.

Surely I'm not the only one????? That feels a bit like persecution, lol. It happened AGAIN today. I had an alert for two new messages. I went through both the old and new inboxes, and the TWO OLDEST messages were showing as new. These weren't even messages I had received, but two that I had SENT...in 2016! This seems to be a glitch in the new mailbox, since it's there they keep reappearing as new. I'm not even going to bother with reporting the issue at this point, as it's basically an exercise in futility. Sooooooooo...if anyone sends me a message and you don't get an answer right away, it's because I'm ignoring the alerts! Apologies in advance. John

I had been wondering...I was sure I checked the box on my last few posts. I thought no one had replied. But when I checked my thread, I did have replies. Unfortunately there is no way to retro-check that box, to make sure.

To make sure you can find your own thread, bookmark it when you first make it. I've gone back to doing that, at least for now.

It's never once worked for me, since I joined two years ago. I figured it was because I'm a mac user, or a browser problem.

Thats weird. Tonight I got replies that were left at least two weeks ago, from several different messages all at once. I guess GW was making up for lost time.

I never get replies... It used to work years ago for me but not since the change in ownership a few years back.

Not working for me, either. I had posted in an active forum a question for which I was hoping for a quick response but got nothing. But when I checked back next AM I found several responses... Oh, well.

In past yrs. I always have checked that box and always recvd the notices. But that stopped 1 or 2 months ago. I thought it must have been something I did..............
