Hello everyone! Intro...

Hi all,

I'm in central Ohio and new to winter sowing; I just set out my first bunch of containers this past weekend. I tried posting an intro this morning and I see it hasn't appeared yet, so hopefully reposting doesn't cause duplicates.

I set out the following (all heirlooms from SSE, a few from Trudi):

Sweet Genovese basil

Jolly Jester marigolds

Sunrise Serenade morning glory

Scarlet Nantes carrots

Empress of India nasturtium

Speckled Roman tomato

mixed four o'clocks (free seed from Trudi!)

Bloomsdale spinach

Rudbeckia

White Chalice

lettuce mix

purple gayfeather (more seed from Trudi!)

chives

verbena bonariensis

Now, quick question...I have almost NO tall containers. Mine are all flat take-out containers or cottage cheese tubs, with 2-4" of headroom for the seedlings. Is that enough? (we don't drink milk, so I didn't have any milk jugs to use...)
