The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Last year I WS'ed a ham's load. (See: A Newbie's Wintersowing So Far post). I planted most of those, but I gave a whole lot away just cause I was exhausted from plunking and running.

This morning before a brief meeting, one of my friends approached me and thanked me for some plants that I gave him out of my extra seedlings and asked if I had any more. I responded that I didn't WS much this year and that I was watching volunteers and taking care of the perennials that are set to bloom this summer. When I mentioned volunteers his eyes lit up.

"I forgot to mention to you that I have a whole bunch of seedlings coming up where I planted the strawflowers!"

"Really?" I said with a smile. I forgot I gave him that.

"And those balsam impatiens are coming up too. I really can't believe how well they're doing!"

That made me really, really happy. :) :) :) Just wanting to share.
