I lost count probably 300 or so and I haven't started my annuals. I have the space but I'll need a team of gardeners to plant all these babies.

I've done the same darn thing, a little more than a patio and containers, but still crazy as a loon looking at what I've got out there.

Like Scarlett O'Hara, I'll worry about it tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and . . .

But they're going to be my babies! And I want them all or to find good homes for those I can't use.

It is so hard because I really want all of these seeds, and I am looking forward to these babies! I am going to try to keep at least a little bit of each one that grows. I am going to try to fill in my parents flower containers as well. I do have garden space at a friend's house. I just soooo wish that I had extra room so that I could keep them all!!!

I'm beginning to plan how I'm going to plant the next door neighbor's beds. She doesn't have much time to work in them and pretty much waves her hand and lets me do whatever I want. This year I want to make them lots bigger and stuff them with plants. I know what colors she likes and I'm growing quite a few she'll be happy to see growing along her little picket fence.
I'm also going to dig out the two mature plain green hosta she's got growing in an oval bed on our boundary and replace them with lots of colorful new perennials. The hosta I plan to divide and maybe set the divisions around the base of the giant oak tree nearby.
The slope between the two houses that I started planting one perennial at a time last year is about to become an instant cottage garden.
If this is madness, I think it's absolutely divine!!

I didn't think anyone had a smaller space than me.

My first year of WSing, I did around 500 containers. I sowed everything I could get my little mitts on, and then was running around like mad trying to find pots when it came time to plant out.

But I gave away goo-gobs of plants! And I think that year was my prettiest garden to date. Such fun ...

This year I've sown 11 containers, so far. Plenty of annuals still to come. And can't forget my tomatoes.

If you think you're crazy, then the whole lot of us are waiting to get carted off to the booby-hatch.

I am crazy!! I have surgery on my sinuses on march 26th and am I am still sowing! I am hoping I can keep the babies watered and alive for a few weeks until I can plant out. If not my kids are going to be real busy!!

The last few years I have had quite a lot of seeds, but they were mostly the basics that you can get at Walmart. This year I started trading and WOW!!! I got so many different varieties of seeds that I am just dying to see bloom!!!! Most of the perennials will be potted up until fall. That gives me some time to decide what I am going to rip out. My parents bought a new house but have gone with a "desert" kind of theme with a lot of rock so I am going to have to sneak over there (they don't currently live there) to see where the sprinklers are and where I can sneak some in. My neighbor does have a small space that he would like some flowers in so I may take over that as well. There is a new lady who just moved in across the street and I am planning on bringing her some (she is a bit eccentric and I can only take her in small doses). Hmmm, where else can I stash some?

just some ideas: kids or grandkids at school can do a school project for science, volunteer hours, or gifted classes - butterfly or wildlife garden, hummer garden, or with birdfeeder and birdbath. senior citizen homes, centers, nursing homes or hospice houses can use a garden or add to one, or residents who need a plant. Churches too, or contact your local master gardeners who sometimes maintain a section of highway or a garden space, or the local garden club may also do so, and could use some plants, you would be able to drive by perhaps a garden spot and see your babies.

Didn't you mention that you want to plant some for your parents and a neighbor? Could you stash your WS jugs at their houses? It's not like they need to do any work with them, just use their property to place the jugs/bottles outside. Mother Nature does it all for them. Of course, you'd probably want to check for sprouts and to make sure there is enough moisture for the soil inside the containers. Ask to store them in their yard. Problem solved!

Finding room for the jugs is not usually a problem. It's the babies inside them come time to plant out. I think I will get some more containers and just line out entire front deck with them. If we didn't have dogs I would have more space but both dogs will eat anything that grows including really thorny rose bushes so they will have their space, and I will have mine.

I know there are planters that you can hang on a fence. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

All the ones I've seen have been kinda pricey (I think), but they could work for starting seeds, and holding one small plant ....

The ones I seem to recall are bigger, and flat on the fence side so they sit straight up. I want to say that there is a rope or a wire that you slip between and around the fence slats, if that makes any sense what-so-ever.

There are lots of hanging planters out there and I've seen some lovely trellis' done on balconies.
I know what you mean about trading, it is wonderful and yet you worry so that you can take care of all your treasures.
