My Summer Results. Need Your Input for Fall.
Comments (4)Green Forest is the only familiar one for me. It's my favourite cos! The heads are beautiful, not too big and it holds (slow to bolt or even get bitter) in heat longer than any others I've tried with the exception of loose oakleaf types. (Even though my zone is super cold in winter, we can still get 40ËC temps in the summertime!) Best wishes for your fall garden... I'm totally jealous that you get more than one season to garden!...See Moremy plans and I need your inputs

Comments (4)Here's a sketch of what you could do. There are other options to arrange the master part but just to get started. Note it is not to scale. Just a sketch, but I kept some of the measurements in mind as well as wall thicknesses to see that it would fit. I used 4.5" for interior walls. Also couldn't see where all the windows were so this may not work with the windows. Now this assumes you have full standing height in all spaces shown. I'm not sure you do though, but it isn't marked where that starts and stops on the drawing....See MoreShould I replace Goldstrum with Tuscan Sun?
Comments (13)Hey @rouge21_gw (CDN Z5b/6a), TS is a great plant, but I do consider replacing it often. As you experienced, I too get those nasty red aphids all over the stems - they are so disgusting! And this past year the bunnies ate them to the ground, so I didn’t even get to experience their beauty all season. But they’re hard to beat for longevity; they bloom from mid-June just about through September for me. What other yellow perennial would provide all-summer-long blooms?? I can’t think of a single one....See Moremoliep
