Nattaporn, Sombreuil (you mean the Climber, yes?) is a very adaptable rose.

It is NOT a Tea Rose.
It is a Wichurana-hybrid modern climber, of unknown origin.
It was probably bred in the early-to-mid 1900's.
I don't know about blackspot, but it rarely mildews, and is not troubled by rust.
It blooms very well in my cool, mild climate, is very fragrant, and blooms are good in a vase.
It should be deadheaded for best repeat.

Mme. Isaac Pereire, OTOH, was a dreadful rose here.
It suffered in our climate from mildew, rust, and the occasional touch of blackspot.
Once the plant matured, it bloomed well in the spring, very little or none in the summer,
and produced a smaller, but respectable Fall bloom.
It is rather stiff and awkward, and mightily-well-armed with BIG prickles.

Sombreuil is a wonderful rose. I have one growing up 3 stories of my house. It re-blooms over and over all through the summer and Fall (it is 100 degrees F here right now, and it is blooming madly.) It is never without flowers, and is very healthy.

Mme Isaac Pereire was a disaster for me - it balled so much that I practically never got to see any blooms open, and I finally had to get rid of it.

I have Sombreuil along a wrought iron fence. It is a pretty white rose and repeats well. Not troubled by disease. Growth habit is dainty for a climber--canes are thin and flexible. The only thing I dislike about it is the petals don't fall cleanly--the old blooms hang on, brown, withered and dry, until you deadhead them, and it's hard to reach them!

I've had Mme Isaac Pierre for 7 years. Her big attraction is the gorgeous blooms; dark raspberry pink and cupped full of petals. Downright romantic. And the fragrance is one of the best of any rose, it's especially wonderful in the big spring flush. Madame also blooms intermittently throughout the summer and fall.

But she has a two serious downfalls for me. One is her size--she throws out huge arching canes over 12 ft long in this mild climate. She wants to rule the yard and I have to keep her pruned all the time. Definitely out of scale with the rest of my roses. But if you have the room, that's not an issus. The real problem is she is so disease prone. Tons of rust every spring with the cool nights and fog. And then when it warms up, you get powdery mildew everywhere when the summer nights are warm. You have to really spray and drench it to bits with fungicide, and I'm tired of doing that.

*** Now, that astonishes me.
Here, Sombreuil's petals fall like snow, as the blooms age -- so that you are sometimes surprised
by a shower of them as you walk beneath those arbors.

It has always been so, here, and our conditions are not all THAT different.

My Sombreuil has canes that are thick, inflexible after they mature, and the petals fall cleanly. If you bump into a branch, the petals shower to the ground.You have to train the canes on mine when young or you can't budge them!

I'm not as hot in my zone as you are but mine blooms well and is fairly disease free compared to most roses in this climate. I don't grow MIP.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. From your detail Sombreuil (Colonial White Clg) is good condition in hot zone and wonderful re-blooming rose sound is very beautiful rose in your garden too. Is Sombreuil having strong scent?
I love climbing roses, large flower and strong scent I think Sombreuil and Mme Isaac Pierre are beautiful old rose that I would have them. Is Mme Isaac Pierre is good re-blooming rose too?

Mme. Isaac Pereire blooms well in early spring.
Does not bloom in summer heat.
Will repeat in the Fall.
Fall foliage is often quite poor here, even with spraying.
These things are true of most Bourbons, in our mild climate.

I have both roses and love them dearly. I would never be without MIP because of her intoxicating fragrance. Sombreuil has a delightful fragrance that I love. It isn't strong for me but then I don't have a good nose for a lot of roses. It might be strong to someone with a better nose for fragrance.

I also love Mme. Isaac Pereire and Sombreuil even I never grow but every time when see photo of them. I always would like to have them. I will order Mme. Isaac Pereire Sombreuil for coming season. I think from your all detail are doing quite well in hot zone.
