Southwest ohio Wind storm

So did anyone else have there garden ripped up from the wind storm (ike coming up) yesterday?

The winds got up to 75mph apparently. I had a huge patch of sunflowers and bushed mexican sunflowers. The wind ripped every leaf off and dryed out the rest of the plant. So it is now a patch of dry sticks.

The same thing happened to a 7 foot tall patch of water cup plants.. no more leaves.

All of my brown eyed susans have lost all their leaves and the flowers are all dry now as well. The larger rudbekia have all their flower petals wind whipped to one side and then dryed in place. It is really weird...

The morning glory vines are all dried.

We are in a newer area so their aren't any large trees to protect much.

Some of the hardier/thicker leaved plants helf up with just a bit of dessication on the edges.

All with no rain....

SO the garden is a bit ragged now. On the plus side, i had thrown out my grill cover the other week... and during the wind storm, i watched one blow from yards and yards away.. right into my back yard!!!!
