Comments (45)jaxondel: the point is A) that was a posting about Kudzu, kstrong went on a tangent, asked Karl, didn't bother to ask me since it was to me that Gregg at Vintage sent his email to, telling me that Vintage lost their only Mandarin and he is the one who told me that I may have the last Mandarin in existance. Kstrong then went on to say that Gregg has thousands of roses and would not bother with just one rose. Well, he sure as heck would if it was the very last one in existance and Cliff at Euroroses had it. Gregg would have gone to get a cutting. This is what I mean about Hi-jacking a post. Kstrong did it again when I posted the question, "What Constitutes A Spot". Kstrong and and Flaurabunda got offtrack and started posting about understock, "Is this a Dr. Huey?" That did not belong in the "What Constitutes A Sport" posting. Also, what is this about Karl and Cannabis?? Are you trying to be funny jim1961??...See MoreWhat constitutes a 'SPORT'
Comments (15)As a matter of fact, I had the same thought and the seeds from just THAT one are working right now. The plant branched about 10" above the soil and the deviation came from the right branch, beginning with the first bloom stem. It seems that each cluster on the right side has one "fat boy" and one "Semi-fat boy" and the other are closer to normal. It's always the first tomato on the stem (closest to the vine). I've included more pictures of the differences I'm seeing. HereÂs the remainder of the Stem from which I took the Fat one. This is the 2nd Stem up the right side (Fat Boy on the left). This is the third stem up the right side (Again, fat one on the left). This is the 4th stem up the right side (fat boy on the right). This is the 8th stem on the right side (fat one on the top) This is the 4th stem on the LEFT Side. This is the 11th stem on the LEFT Side HereÂs the comparison where the two stems cross each other. The LEFT Stem is from the LEFT side (9th Cluster) and the RIGHT Stem is from the RIGHT Side (8th Cluster)(fat one behind - 2nd from right - in between) So, should I contemplate saving more of the seeds from the ones with no shoulders?????...See MoreWhat constitutes a good sofa/chair cushion?
Comments (4)Here is another good link with some foam info. I have bought a couple of foam cushions from them when doing some reupholstery. They are located in Santa Ana, Calif., but also sell online. I like my cushions to be firm. I bought their Hi-Resilience Q41 for a love seat (2 cushions). Here is a link that might be useful: Foam Cushion Info...See MoreSport on Happy Days?
Comments (4)Sorry I haven't replied before this but I am having problems posting-hopefully I will get this through. Sports are always interesting and some roses are known to sport over and over whilst others just fluke it once. A sport is a genetic mutation and to propagate you do need to bud onto a rootstock. You can graft any time through the warmer months. One thing to check for is whether this new bloom is actually a sport or if it is coming from a cane of the understock. This occurs frequently and is hard to detect unless you follow the cane down to see if it is coming from under the graft. I hope you do have a sport-exciting for you if do. :) regards sandie...See Moreflaurabunda
