You're saying that first picture is ONE bush? Yipes! What is MvH--name of a rose? Please translate. And how about the names of the ones in the second photo--you know the name of the game: gotta name your roses!

They do look nice, Pete. I'd be proud of them too if I were you.

O my goodness, that first one is huge, how many years did it take to grow like that? All of your bushes are so tall and healthy, you can tell you take good care of them.

Fishing always great even when I don't catch anything.Up at four,on the river by five,an hour of darkness to go a couple or three miles to be in position,then the excitement and anticipation that all true fisherman never out grow.Oh,well-I'll get em next time.
Marie von[van?] Houtte.A very busty lady-I keep mine thinned out as you really would need a suit of armor to get inside of something that size.I have to keep it pruned back as it would intrude on the others lot.I suspect it could easily go 20 by 10 or more.
The others in foreground -double delight and C.I. in background another monster-spice.The red in front near the spice is conundrun-a huge miniflora.
I only have room for two dozen so they are well fed and pampered.
They are going with my ``a few blooms,always'' feelingso that will look the same 365 days ayear.

By the way, Pete--we weren't fooled by the guilt claim. We know you are bragging. LOL. But that's all right--when you deserve praise for your big beauties.

Truthfully-not
I take a picture every couple of weeks so I don't forget the drill.Today I was learning how to get two pictures in the same frame.
From now on I will take pictures of something else-lol
I never had anything to do with roses before here so these are the only ones I know and I realize its location,location,location.
Of course the first couple of years I wanted to say ``look at mine'' but I have backed off and letting those who live in tougher country do the advising.

If you are practicing with your camera, why not take it along on your fishing jaunts. It might be interesting to see fishing grounds in the early a.m. Specially if you run into any more of those friendly sea creatures you told us about before.

And don't stop taking pictures of your roses. You know everyone here loves to look at pics of roses.

BTW, looks like MVH could use some Bloom Booster beside MG to become more colorful eh. They look full and big itÂs alright to brag, and we know it.

It needs a better photographer.Its all covered with purple new growth and being a 365 bloomer down here its never covered with blooms as there is no bloom cycle,but it always has some blooms.If I wanted to have a massive bloom I would have to give it a haircut so it would be on same cycle.
I am serious that after awhile you realize how silly it is to try and take credit for natures blessings.

The fishing is a very wet and messy thing.I have a little 9 foot paddleyak.Thats what I call my kayak that also has foot paddles.Fun and very adventurous to go out in these big rivers and fast tidal creeks.I feel like a spring colt again,a la ``a mans got to do what a mans gotta do'' or sumpin.lol
If we can get more action on conversation I will start to post pictures from around here.I forget how exotic it might seem now that I am use to it.

How come you have the drainspout going out into the lawn instead of watering your rose?

Rocky, I thought about that too, and I reckon, if your rain usually comes in increments of 1/2" or more, that's all the sandy soil can use at a time. 50 gallons pouring off the roof would dig a gully and also leach out all the fertilizer.

I thought about that drain spout too. But then it rains every other day the roses donÂt need more water.
