Exquisite bloom of Mme Ernest Calvat.
Her fragrance is hypnotic.
I've always thought this was a beautiful and fascinating rose, but also a very problematic one in that it seems in many climates subject to disease. The leaves on your rose look pristine so it must like your conditions. How long have you had it, and does it bloom a lot for you?
Lovely! It is subject to disease but does much better in dry summer areas, at least here. Mine is growing on a ladder.

Pink showing on Mme Ernest Calvat
I have had her less than a year (The Antique Rose Emporium). She has bloomed one or two flowers at a time. I wish to see more - now that she is established in my garden.Full sun. Bliss:)
Thank you, Mauvegirl, for that picture. I'm trading roses, and expecting that from a friend in the fall. Mme Earnest Calvat has been listed as a top-scent by a few folks. I'm excited about that.
She is a rose I would love to grow. However, she would probably not do that well in my climate. I do have her sister, Mme Isaac Pereire who does ok here but is really a once bloomer. Still, she is one I've had my eye on.
Great to see a picture and hear about about her.
That is the most beautiful color.
I found that Mme. Ernst Calvat had better disease-resistance than her sport-parent, Mme. Isaac Pereire.
Even so -- neither was ideal for my coastal SoCal conditions.
bought this one last month...so excited for it to take hold in my garden! Thanks for the pic!
Really lovely, but like Jeri, I wouldn't dare try her here in my fog by the sea.
Hypnotic & intoxicating- I love the scent of this rose, and that lovely color.
