I just happened to be doing my daily strolling through the gardens and looked down and spotted this welcome little visitor! Too cute! I couldn't pass up!

I think if I ever "found" a worm that long in my garden I'd never garden again! EEK!!! I'm bug-phobic at the best of times altho I do love what those little critters do in my soil. Just don't really want to have to handle them ever without gloves. I'm sure my "pet" worms never grow that long. I'm sure... I'm really sure... they better not! Nope, don't have ANY worms that long... And I'm also sure I'm never gardening south of 50. Stuff like that doesn't live this far north. I hope.

I admire your resistance, I could never walk away from this one. I actually considered buying two since the price was right, but my house is full enough already. I just have never found anything but the usual EA hoyas anywhere around here, so it was a real treat. Time to start some cuttings! Kim

It took me awhile to find it. He blends in. I was looking at the brown stem below the coneflowers and thought that might be some kind of bug eyes. lol

He does blend in well! lol
I don't have any idea of what kind he is, but he's still sitting there now! Probably waiting on mosquitos! lol

LOL, christie, I was looking at the "bug eyes" below too! Then I saw the little guy.

Are tree frogs really that big? I always thought the tree frogs were those little things that are no bigger than my thumb nail that I find all over my yard. I wonder what those really little ones are then? For someone who likes frogs and toads as much as I do, you'd think I'd be better at IDing them!

Oooooh, sooo cute. I have never seen any in my yard.
I would love one or two like that....to eat up those flies and mosquitoes!

I had a few White's tree frogs as pets several years ago, when they sat all scrunched up like the frogs in the photos, they were as big as the palm of my hand, and I fed them grasshoppers, large crickets and the occasional newborn mouse. I also had Red-eyed tree frogs, in a big vivarium with a little waterfall and live plants, and misted them with water several times a day. They were pretty cool.

Wow, I had to study the picture a couple of times and then he just "jumped" right out at me. LOL Now I don't see how I could have missed it!

Well, that bed is sooo overcrowded. lol I built it when I was just starting out a couple years ago and like a dummie I planted way to close!
Next spring, I have plans already to dismantle it, and rebuild the bed, spacing out the plants to the correct distance. But, that has to wait till spring. It's way too late in the season here to do it.
