Something is eating my birch tree

judyswont

We planted a small new birch tree last summer and it survived the planting quite well with new growth by fall. In the winter, unfortunately all the branches and the top of the tree were chewed off by rabbits. (snow was really high!) Again - it survived this and has all sorts of new growth, however upon examining the leaves, I noticed that something is eating them, although I can't see any insects around or on them. Is there something specific that attacks birch trees and if so - what can be done to get rid of them. Any help would be appreciated.
