Questions about my Aloha

This rose was one of the ones that came through a brutal winter with flying colors. Almost as soon as it broke dormancy it threw up one massive, finger-thick, five-foot-tall cane that is now sporting about four or five gorgeous blooms! However. The canes that survived the winter are still very short, even though they bloomed well so far. My questions are these: Will the short ones get taller? Will the hardened canes be trainable? They seem very stiff and non-flexible right now. Will it bloom like a typical HT and get blooms only at the tops of the canes? How much taller will it get in my zone? Will it continue to be cane-hardy?

I am asking because I think I made a placement error, not to mention the fact that my baptisia was supposed to bloom alongside it; but it is finished before Aloha gets going! Whoops!
