Thanks for asking.... I limited the amount of light (hour wise) and I am using different fertilizer.... the one I was usuing had a significant amount of urea in it. Now using Dyna-Grow. It looks healthy but no flowers yet... I have my fingers crossed. :-)

Hey Barb-- At least the perlite doesnt hurt anything. You should of seen it earlier , what a mess. Im not only into hummers , but the plants it takes that they like. I usually grow from seed , I do buy some , but anyway thats what takes up so much of my time during this time of year. That is also why I dont have many AVs.

It does not look like the babies have penetrated the grodin at all, they are growing right from the stem of the mother leaf. I never thought about removing them, although, I think I would just cut up the grodin with a razor knife. I love seeing all the little things that normally we would miss, I love all the intricate details of plants and propagation. I love it all!! Tracy

Probably the cost to store all of the pictures is too much. I have First Class 2 program through AVSA, it has some pictures and is helpful. Have you been to the AVSA pictures section recently?
