Thank you so much for this advice. I just started doing the WS method last winter with seeds I had already purchased so I didn't get in on any of the newbie offers - wanted the seed to go to someone who would use it. Then I started reading up on the seed swaps and wanted to be sure I would have something to trade this next season. So thanks for the warning. BTW - I had a very successful spring. My poppies finally germinated - never had that happen before !!! I'm thinking next year, I will WS most of my tomatoes, peppers and basil too, besides the flowers.
