Hardy Hibiscus Seeds

I collected seeds from my Peppermint Schnapps Hardy Hibiscus this year. I was wondering if they will grow true from seed?

This variety has a plant patent number. You can only get a PP if the plant produces viable seeds that truly reproduce themselves.

The reason I am asking is I did order some seed from named hibiscus - Copper King. The hibiscus is supposed to have dark leaves and maple shaped leaves. It has the regular leaves and the leaves are green. I guess you take a chance with the seeds. It didn't bloom last year so I will have a surprise this year I hope.
