Can I plant trees next to GFI electrical pipes in ground?

Hi,

It is acceptable to plant medium size trees around 3 feet away from a GFI outlet; electrical wires are inside pvc pipes.

I planted an Asian persimmon (probably on D. virginiana rootstock) and Mulberry right next to the outlet; all other trees (American persimmon, Pawpaw, Sweetbay Magnolia, Juneberry, etc. are at least 10' away from the pipe containing the wires). I will keep the trees all pruned to under 20' width and height. I feel that it will be ok.

Thanks,

Steve
