I'm glad to hear that. I almost bought 'Peacock' when Bluestone had a sale but I bought 'Adonis Blue' instead, which is in the dwarf series too. Of course, from Bluestone, you know how tiny it was. Might as well have been a cutting that had just rooted, it was so small, but it has settled in fine and has put out new leaves. I think next year I might see something.

I'm loving Blue Chip...it's a blooming machine. The stems are fairly brittle and break easily.

Peacock sounds huge. The Blue Chip is really a good compact variety. The main drawback of Blue Chip is it doesn't smell at all and butterflies don't seem to like it. I don't think it should be called a butterfly bush but I love it anyways.

How large does the Peacock cultivar get.

My Peacock has got huge at 6+ ft tall. The blooms are huge as advertised. Other than that nothing to get to excited about. Maybe mine was mislabled or a mutant??

Blue Chip for me so far has been blooming like crazy. It is so close to the ground I have never tried to smell it yet. I will have to try to stand on my head and see how it smells...lol....

I love the Adonis Blue. Only stands about 4 feet tall and wide. It has the best smell of all. Unique color and flower shape. Winner in my book!

Miss Ruby looks to be great also!! Mine is very small still. It isn't even 2' by 2' yet, but is blooming well. Color of the flower and foilage is as advertised. Has a very nice red/ruby color to it and smells great.

I thought "Peacock" was only supposed to get about 4' or so - ?. Well, guess I'll find out...

Is "Miss Ruby" supposed to be a dwarf? Haven't really heard much about that one.

I bought 4 Red Rubies, color is beautiful. Since this is the first year they are still quite small.

I've had a White Ball for several years that is very nice. It hasn't exceeded 3x3 and is smaller than that this year.

I have 'Peacock' and have had it for five years. It is definitely dwarf compared to others, I shovel pruned 'Nanho Blue' and 'Lochinich' several others years ago that were twice the size of 'Peacock' and they were supposed to be smaller varieties. 'Adonis Blue' was even smaller but sadly it was killed last summer when DH put new siding on the house.

This is my first season with Lo and Behold. So far, I love the 2' X 2' size but most of the butterflies are ignoring it in favor of Echinacea, Heliopsis and Rudbeckia. Very disappointing.

This is my second year with Lo & Behold Blue Chip. I have it planted in front of a Pink Delight, which obviously towers over it, and blocks most of the sun that the dwarf variety is probably craving. I may have to move it. It's currently 1' tall (if that!) and maybe 2' across, and it does have some tiny blooms. It didn't bloom last year. I try to remember to take a pic once it blooms, but it's definitlely on borrowed time if it doesn't start to wow me, or improve.

Miss Ruby I think is supposed to get 4' by 4' Mxk3. Mine was just planted this year, so hasn't had much time to grow.

I bought 'Peacock' this week. I know it's not that small, but my God, the blooms are huge on that sucker! I just had to have it when I saw one in person. It's gorgeous!

I have both âÂÂPeacockâ and 'Adonis Blue' since 2006. They're both definitely dwarf. Very impressed with âÂÂPeacockâÂÂ. The flower pinnacle rivals that of 'Pink DelightâÂÂ. Yet the plant size is 1 foot shorter than 'Pink DelightâÂÂ. I cut all my butterfly bushes to ground each spring. âÂÂPeacockâ grows to about 3 feet (or less). As far as flower size concerned, there's nothing write home about 'Adonis Blue' (similar to 'Nanho Blue'). 'Adonis Blue' is also a week grower for me. 'EllenâÂÂs Blue' is a better grower (full plant habit), but of course it's twice of the plant size.
