Sowing daylilys in 16 oz. beer cups

I bought a bunch of 16oz. clear beer cups at Sams today and want to winter sow daylily seeds. My method in the past (never WS'd before) was to put each cross in a zip lock with a handful of damp peat moss. I would do this about 3 weeks before the spring's last frost, leaving the baggies outdoors in the shade. I guess this was actually a sort of WS.

Then, in three weeks, most would be sprouted and I would plant them all in the beds whether or not they germinated. This works well, but I end up with lots of gaps in the rows from ones that don't germinate. Do you think it will hurt daylily seeds to WS now in the beer cups even though they will freeze/thaw many times? Also, I have at least 100 seeds of some crosses (and about 80 crosses!) so how many seeds would I put in a cup if you think they can be WS?
