Thinking of planting fruit trees...

Hi there,

As long as I can remember I've wanted a nice veggie garden and a few fruit trees. Well, 2 weeks ago I put in my garden and am now thinking of adding some fruit trees to my yard. I currently have two 8 year old Ash trees in the back, so placement would be crucial (I only have a third of an acre). I am curious about the best kind of fruit trees to plant, and the one with the smallest hassle. I have no problem taking care of the tree, but with two large dogs and a nephew that are always in the back yard, I don't want something that will attract a ton of bugs OR bees/wasps (anything with a stinger). Any recommendations? Is the best idea to just not have fruit trees, or is there something out there that won't attract the bad insects (bees/wasps)?? Wish I were back in LA so I could have some lemon trees again!

Thanks
