Thyme After Thyme, Thyme in a Bottle ...

Hey All,

I'm considering a few different Thymes to plant between stones in a mini patio/walkway I'm building and I'm trying to pick one that will bloom the most and most often. I have my eye on the following, but please feel free to recommend a favorite, if you have one.

'Magic Carpet'

minus 'Elfin'

serphyllum 'Annie Hall'

serphyllum 'Coccineum'

I'm thinking of interspersing it with swaths of 'Highland Cream' and then planting Sedum 'Angelina' around the edges. I'm using Pennsylvania stacking stone and the spaces between will be irregular, but about 1-inch wide.

The area gets full sun, moderate moisture, and I was thinking of amending the soil with a combo of light top-soil and builder's sand.

I've had good luck in this area with a Thyme that is strong, happy, and evergreen. But, it would be nice to have a little bit more flowering if I can get that, too.

What do you think?
