what should I do with free load(s) of w. chips?

Tree trimmers up the road agreed to drop off a load+ of fresh wood chips in the morning. Now I have the happy dilemma of what to do with them. What would you do?

Here are the basics:

A)One acre corner lot in subdivision with sparse young landscaping. (Dreams of bigger and better, but need years to add/grow).

B) Horse farms in area, but I don't want to shovel fresh manure.

C) No place to hide a pile while it breaks down.

D) CLAY soil desperately in need of amendment.

E) Willing to take a couple hundred out of the flower fund if it means better soil and has good bang for the buck.

G) Would need to rent anything fancier than a lawn mower with cart.

Here are my ideas, please add your suggestions too:

1)Spread along wood/lawn border to tame wild vines/weeds spilling out of woods. 750 sq ft.

2) Spread outside of front walk way. 1000 sq ft. Add flowers later.

3) Spread outside of driveway. 2000 sq ft. Add shrubs/ground cover later.

4) Spread in backyard around informal log sitting area and against house. Could make a portion of it a place to turn in limited yard greens. 750 sq ft. Add landscape later.

5) Skip it, I'm not ready for a truckload yet.

Thanks reading my wordy message and any suggestions you have. I'm sure you guys will steer me in the right direction.
