Can I add locking differential?

I have a husqvarna yth2348 which has been a wonderful mower and havent had many problems with it. The only problem so far was the brake switch went out, but that was easily fixed.

I have moved into a new house with a bigger yard and it is packed with good old clay! I bought an aerator, de-thatcher, rake etc to pull behind and start working the soil to get a better lawn.

I noticed that my mower does not have a locking diff, or posi trac, or limited slip or anything.

Is it even possible to add this to provide the traction I need - only when I need it? I have heard I could weld the diff together, but then it would be hard to turn, and I don't want that.

Any ideas?

Or should I just run snow chains on it and hope the 1 weel can get enough grip?

Thanks

K
