Iron leeching into the soil from Sedona Red flagstone

Hi All,

We are finally building the potager of my dreams and are planning to use some remnants of Arizona flagstone in the Sedona Red color for the paths between the beds. I'm assuming the red color comes from the iron that is probably the binding agent for the rock.

If the iron leeches into the soil from the flagstone paths would that be a problem for the plants?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you,

Lynn
