Mutabilis is ALWAYS blooming. My other OGR's are immature so it is hard to say yet. Buff

Probably the Chinas like Old Blush or the Teas. Hybrid Perpetuals are known for being more "hybrid" than "perpetual". I have either Old Blush or Le Vesuve (some confusion in the tags) and they are always in bloom. Lady H takes a few weeks to recover from a bloom as does Duchesse de Brabant. I get about 3 flushes from Louise Odier, a Bourbon, and Rose de Rescht, a Portland, gives about 4 flushes a season. The spring flush on all of these, except the Chinas,is the best.

Chinas and teas with a low petal count.

The first two that come to mind for me are Monsieur Tillier and Alliance Franco-Russe. Etoile de Lyon is full of blooms again as well. If you go to the Vintage Gardens Website, you can search on 'Rapid' rebloom roses for a complete list. I expect in your zone, some Teas might not work well for you. My experience with Duchesse de Brabant is that it does rebloom often. As for non-Teas--Marchesa Bocella blooms often as does Maggie and Secret Garden Musk Climber.

Le Vesuve is my hardest working OGR. And among the healthiest too.

If you can grow Austins, in my garden Cottage Rose, Harlow Carr, Glamis Castle, Sister Elizabeth and Carding Mill are constant rebloomers. Duchesse de Brabant, Mme. Joseph Schwartz Monsieur Tillier, ditto. Alfalfa meal really seems to help.

Charlotte blooms almost nonstop all summer. Dark Lady does, too, has a beautiful bloom form & color, and she gets the most shade, maybe she's so pretty because of that? I can't tell much about the others yet. Both want more room if I could turn them loose, and both seem to have a lot of resistance to various maladies so far compared to the others, except Jap beetles love Charlotte. But if I stay on it, that keeps them off more of the others, but I don't know long term.

I figure the more beetles I pick off, the fewer grubs in the ground for the following year but they come in from elsewhere, of course, and I'm not sure when they reproduce, am guessing when they go underground again. Didn't find one on DL. They liked one of the pinks but seemed to leave most of the rest alone.

If I have a really bad plague of them, all bets are off.

Cecily and Jeri hit the real reasons: roses with fewer rows of petals repeat faster.
To Mutabilis, add Martha Gonzalez and some of the other red single or semidouble chinas.
Among the teas, I've found Safrano to repeat bloom much faster than the densely petaled hoards (which I am so willing to wait for.)
And you should include the old noisettes which are seldom bloomless after first bloom starts. (Champney's Pink, Blush, and twenty or more so of the non-tea-noisettes).
Nastarena belongs in your garden for scent and quickness of repeat as does its parent Rosa moschata (same reasons).
And you must have Old Blush, for repeat and for history.

The Portland roses are the OGRs which rebloom the best that I can grow here as teas, chinas, and noisettes don't have good enough disease resistance and hardiness in the mid-Atlantic region.

You know Lori, that's funny.
Mrs. Keays grew many Teas in that area, with great success.

Jeri, Unfortunately, you can grow Teas and most Chinas here ONLY IF YOU SPRAY. BS weakens them to the point that they don't survive our winters. I guess Mrs Keays sprayed yheir Teas. I am very close to Lori in location and my experience mirrors hers.

Well, she was growing them in the early 1920's, so if she was spraying, it must only have been with sulfur.

Not only was she growing them -- she was collecting them from century-old gardens, and propagating them.

Then, there's the success of Teas documented in "Elizabeth and Her German Garden." (Elizabeth von Arnim (1898). She was growing Teas in Pomerania, north of Berlin.

It would be interesting to know what changed.

Sulfur is actually what I used on my Teas for 6+ years to keep them happy. With sulfur they survive our zone just fine, but as soon as you let them get BS full force , they are doomed

I keep wondering, tho, if we are dealing today with (in some cases) weaker clones than they had 100 years ago.
Or maybe the blackspot has changed -- mutated.
That seems not only possible, but even probable.

bama, I have been very impressed with Jean Bach Sisley. Planted in December, it is 3+ feet high and 5 ft wide and for the last 2 months has been blooming steady and pretty heavy. In the last week and a half it's slowed down but still has buds and flowers on it. It put out some new growth recently during this slow time. I think it's getting ready to go again. It's my best rose. They're all young and getting better & better, but JBS took off from the moment it hit the dirt.

Rose de Rescht...All the OGR you need to know.

Alister Stella Grey in rarely without blooms. All the SDLM family bloom rapidly, but balling is a constant problem for all members except for S. de St. Anne, the semi-double sport of SDLM. It was found in a garden in Ireland, so you should be able to grow it in zone 6 with winter protection. Darlow's Enigma is cold-hardy, fragrant and blooms almost constantly. Also some of the rugosas, such Therese Bugnet, have very good rebloom. You might also want to look at the hybrid musk group.

Here Gruss an Archen is rather good, all ways a flower on it and fragrant. Not a true OGR if you are strict on definitions but introduced in 1909 and has much of the OGR look

Comte de Chambord!!! A Portland rose. Always covered in blooms, powerful perfume, showy pink color. A super performer by all standards. But needs BS protection.

Another Portland and solid performer, also in the scent dept: Jacques Cartier. Extremely healthy.

Also good: Sophie's Perpetual, a hybrid China with a strong and deliciously sweet scent.

The classic Bourbon and most beautiful of them all: Souvenir de la Malmaison, blooms very well when well fed and positioned. Nice powdery scent. Get a grafted one from Pickering for better vigor. Only caveat: balls in the rain and high humidity, just like the Comte btw. Nonetheless, this one should be on top of your list, together with the Comte.

Many Teas are pretty good rebloomers too.

My Rose de Reschts were ok in the rebloom department, but not great, every 6 weeks or so, no match for the others above (or most of my roses for that matter). Very strong old rose perfume though and strikingly colored (fuchsia) if very small blooms. But again, would not be among my first picks.

Rosa Moschata (true musk rose) blooms for a good four months here, maybe even five, continuously. It starts in early June and blooms until sometime in the fall without taking a breath.

And it wafts.
