WANTED: African violet Leaf/or Plantlet... Exchange #2

I would love to host this one more time before it turns too cold in my area to exchange leaves, plantlets.

Any interest?

I'll start the box out with *25 NAMED* varieties, some 'rare'..hard to find, or at least all of them being "must haves."

This is such a fun, cheap way to exchange leaves, plantlets (just postage). Include whatever you want, just make sure you exchange it evenly. And there must be 25 varieties in the box at ALL TIMES. If your feeling generous, and have extra baby plantlets that need homes, please feel free to add them. I'm sure your swap Pal will be thrilled!

Clearly label all leaves, plantlets. Post when the box arrives, and when it goes back out, including the Delivery confirmation #.

Let's make this a quick swap too! I'll take signups until Monday. Post a box route on Tuesday and get the box going on Tuesday. If only a few sign up that's fine too, I'm sure we all have enough to share!

I have over 165 varieties... in fact I am not really sure how many I have right now.. I think it is pushing 200.. but I have just ordered another 58 leaves of different varieties from a violet grower, so this will push me well over 200 - 250 named varieties.. so I will have many to trade in the spring, including some babies. Mostly what I am looking for are violets that are fancy, fringed, frilly or ruffled.. If you would like a copy of my list, as it is too long to cut and paste here.. please email me. My list contains the names with descriptions, hybridizer, AVSA # (if available) and size. I would love to join in with the trade exchange for the spring of 2006. I could trade leaves or plantlets. Send me your info ASAP! Name/address, GW name. I'll include you in the swap if you send me this in by 10 pm tonight. I'm working on the box when the kids go to sleep, and will mail it out in the morning. I'll post the box travel route tonight, but need the info so I can include it in the paperwork that needs to go with the box.

Box came today! A few leaves were wilted, so I trashed them. Added more to make up the difference. The box is ready to go to Brenda, first thing in the morning. The delivery conf. #0103 8555 7496 5797 8933.

Just got the box off the porch and im getting ready to go through it, cant wait to see whats inside!!! I will get it packed back up and on its way by tomorrow. Ill post with the DC# as soon as i get it.

once i opened the box i realized that it did not have an easy journey. half the leaves were broken/bruised or mush.the box looked like someone had played a little football with it. I sent along the ones that i thought could make it and put in some fresh leaves. It was still like Christmas going through the box!! These are always so much fun!
