Seeds for one lucky person!

I've decided that I have waaaaay too many seeds to plant and must share some sooooo...

The first one to post a message in this thread saying they want them gets the following:

New seeds from plants I grew last year or got from someone in a trade:

Purple Cleome (host for Cabbage Whites)

Cassia alata - (host for sulphurs)

Cassia tree (seeds) - don't know what type of cassia, as I got it in a seed swap and it wasn't marked with the specifics, just "Cassia tree".

Mealy Cup Sage - beautiful blue flowers

Scarlet Runner Bean - hummingbirds love

Orange Cosmos

Tropical Milkweed - host for Monarchs & Queens

Swamp Milkweed - host for Monarchs & Queens

Butterfly Weed - host for Monarchs & Queens

Anise hyssop (Agastache) - honeybees LOVE this!

***The last three are perennials.

The following are seeds that are still in the original seed packets. I bought too many seeds last year and didn't have time to plant everything. I was planting almost up until we got our first frost and still wasn't done! :-O

Aster (Crego mix)

Cow Peas (California Blackeyed)---vegetable, of course

Iceberg Lettuce --- another veggie

Dill (Long Island Mammoth) - host for Black Swallowtails

***These four are annuals.

To the first person to reply here, I will send them after I receive your SA2SBE. I will email you (please make sure your email is turned on in your profile) my name and address.

I only wish I had more to go around. The only ones I would have extras of for another person would be the milkweeds and the hyssop.

Wow, that was fast! :) I will email you in a minute. It pays for you to be an early bird. ;-)

If someone else wants the extras (milkweed and hyssop), post here so others will know that they're taken. Oh, and I also forgot to mention that I have mallow and since I have enough of that, I will mail that to you and the second person if anyone in interested in what I still have after I send yours out. I'm glad my seeds will find someone to plant them because oh my gawrsh I went overboard again this year with the seeds! :-O

I am new and need to replant most of my flower garden this year as I to ill to take care of it last year and lost many of my flowers. The tea can cause mold...it's anti-mold capabilities aren't really expressed when diluted heavily into a water solution. Leave a glass of it around a couple days and see that in action. That said, the tea is more "effort overkill" than it is harmful to the seed. Germinating them in the fridge is a bad idea, though... Germinating pepper seeds has 2 requirements...warmth and moisture. The warmth part is what really sends it into gear. That said, you could probably generate them in a number of conditions, but the ideal conditions involve warmth and moisture.

I just got your email and will send out a bubble wrap sase. Again, thanks. I am especially excited to get the butterfly weed since it is a GREAT plant in my garden. I wanted to propagate some more but my plant's seeds have already blown away. If the mallow is a hardy hibiscus I can't use them (already have lots).

I don't know how many seeds of the others you have but I don't mind sharing with the birthday person. I'm not greedy!

azzelda, Okay, I'll send them out after I get the envelope. I love the butterfly weed too. It is such a vibrant orange color and the butterflies love it. I love butterflies and most of my seeds that I get are bought/gotten with them in mind. I enjoy them and also birds.

Good Morning! I just saw your post for the free seeds. How generous of you. I would love some butterfly weed, if you have any to spare. I love the butterflies and try to provide for them. Thanks so much.
