I know you have written about saffron. It grows beautifully here. Can it be grown as far north as PA? I was told that the bulbs were brought to Cornwall even before the crusades, even before the Roman occupation, when the early Phoenicians traded them for tin, one of the metals needed to produce bronze. The other special trade I have is sprouted paeonia rockii seed which I have been hoping to trade for fen dan bai. Let me know if you are interested in either.

Posted on GW Seed Exchange & realized I should have put it here 1st for local trading at a St*rbucks/public library where it's warm & dry OR arrange a trade now for exchanging on March. 3 Green Elephant in Redmond. I'm new to seed trading, but getting the hang of it. I have mostly commercial organic seeds from Seeds of Change to trade for a children's garden at our year round camp with after school & summer programs. Hoping to help the next generation learn where food comes from & have some fun. Do you remember when you were smaller than the plants & looked up like Jack in the Beanstalk? That's the wonder I want to create in the garden. The best way to set up trades is via email. Hi Lois, I have a couple of Lorraine Sunshine Heliopsis in the garden. They usually self-sow, so I don't collect seeds any more. Most of the seedling come true to the variegation.
