WANTED: Monarda didyma (red)

Does anyone with some of this M. didyma (red) want to make a trade for some M. fistulosa (Wild Bergamot)?

Seed won't be ready to harvest until at least October.

Mine has the potential to grow 5' but can be cut back and shaped to be about 3' x 3'. Flowers are lavender.

Hi Margaret and Solana, No, I didn't get your email Margaret re: Columbines, but I believe I've got enough trades for this year. Maybe we can do a trade next year :D .....and btw, Solana, I don't believe I'll be getting any seed from the Datura this year (sniff sniff). Yeah- it's weird- I got your message- but I couldn't reply- it wouldn't go through! And we are yahoo to yahoo! First time for everything I guess! I have picked them and set them to dry. Some even had the double decker flower on top of a flower thing going on! If you are not interested- I am sure someone will want them- sometime- if there even is seed in those heads! If you want this un-named red monarda- or if you want to trade off of my list- just peek at my list and let me know- I have alot of seed from last year- and am adding more as I clean and dry more seed. Phenotype of Monarda Didyma?

There are phenotypic differences between varieties of monarda but they don't necessarily correlate to flower color specifically. Easiest thing is to wait until they bloom. Then you'll know. :)

I have a lot of red Monarda 'Gardenview Scarlet'. I need to thin it out because it is crowding out my other plants. I can pull out a bunch and mail them to you for postage. It is very easy. Email me if interested. I love this Monarda. Smells great in the breeze.
