Rose topiary "Playboy" how to care for it?

My boys picked me up a beautiful topiary with orange roses. But it came with no info on caring for it.

I did google it...6 hours in direct sunlight.

But...I am curious about wintering it in Ohio. I found a site that said build a wire form around the stem and mulch the form to protect the stem.

Is this the best thing to winterized it? When is the best time to do this if so? End of fall...is what I am thinking. Before a frost and temps get cold?

Is it okay to plant now? It is to get in the 30's tonight...we have it indoors right now because it has many buds I don't wish to get frost if it will hurt them.

The only roses I have is ground cover ones that I grouped together to look as a shrub. I do nothing to it...it is quite hardy. I know other roses you have more care with.
