Craftsman Rideon--Hydro Gear

markymark-ca

Bear with me folks. Be gentle, I'm new at this.

After retiring from teaching and now trucking part time, I had the urge to pick up a riding lawn mower.

Now I have 6.

The problem child is a 1990 Craftsman Kohler 15.5 hydro gear.

I want to service the trans. Can I use Walmart or comp 20-50 motor oil, or should I stick with ATF like my Scotts Peerless

hydrostat model.

Also, do they hydrogears whine pretty good when they are engaged?

hey thanks from 110d California today
