ahhhhhhhhh.. Ladies you rock.. thank you all so much, funny how after reading your replies I looked both up you suggested. My roses look like both. Yet, the one I have is already 8 feet tall. So it must then be the Queen Elizabeth. Now with 15 more buds and blooms, today is 75 degrees and I bed those buds pop open.. whoot whoot Connie- took your advise to0 btw from the other post I put up about what roses should I get for my arbor. Ordered 2 parades to my groups. Thank you This spring- will be quite the digging adventure for mui!!! xoxoox

Yeah, only overwintered one I have out right now is the bhut. Its got flowers, but no fruit setting yet that I've seen. Its getting quite bushy now that the weather is getting really warm though. Should be a productive year for it.

I've still got about a month to go. About half the roses have buds on them, but they are small. I should have pruned a little earlier than what I did, but oh well. They all seem to be doing really well so far though. Should be a much better spring than the rainy one last spring.

Thank you, ya'll, for the ID on the Peace rose. It certainly does appear to be Peace. I'm not sure I would have planted it but I'm happy with it now. I hope my ten roses continue to do well, but the more I read, the more amazed I am that they are. I live in a forest and they are planted on the north side of my house, which is about the only sunny spot on my entire property, so they get, at best six hours of sun a day; the soil, which hasn't been amended in any way, is almost pure sand; and although I winter mulched the first year they were in (2011), I haven't since; and that, thank God, so far they've not had any disease or insect problems (and I shudder when I read about some of the nasty diseases roses can get!). I'm almost afraid to change what I'm doing because they bloom like crazy from spring to late fall. I guess roses are tougher than I ever thought. Anyway, I'll keep reading the forum and try to learn more about caring for my plants properly and try to incorporate some of those practices into my care of them.
