ingrid thanks for your comment. I was just thinking OMG what a strange bouquet they would make together. So far I don't have enough blooms at one time to make a co-ordinated vase of more than 3-4 roses. Next year... But I love to gather blossoms of what's in bloom for the kitchen counter. Fragrance counts more than color for that bowl. Denise

Thanks, guys. The photos I posted were taken at various times of the year, during the last three years. This rose receives no water and minimal care, which complicates its ID. I don't imagine it looks the same there in the cemetery as it would if it grew here in the garden. That's why I'm trying so hard to get a cutting to root. I can't tell you about fragrance, because I am seriously fragrance-impaired. I know, I know, I grow hundreds of roses and I can't smell very many of them. I usually rely on the noses of friends to detect fragrances. Autumn Sunset sure looked like a possibility. I'll keep it on the list, just in case, but I guess I have to keep looking. Connie

Hosta, your pictures are gorgeous! This is the 4th year for my Zeffy, the first 3 years it was okay, but was absolutely covered with blooms this spring. I have it on my back fence to cover the chain link. I think it was Florence that posted a pic of Zeffy with Autumn Sunset, which I just couldn't resist ordering, and it's just starting to grow! Anyway, people would stop in the alley and comment on the Zeffy, it was really putting on a show. I hate to admit to this, but mistakenly one hot night last summer left the sprinkler on all night, which really helped Zeffy, but definitely not my water bill!

Michaelg- There aren't green veins - the entire leave is pale. Could it be too much sunlight? Too much water? I've done a lot of Googling but am still not clear about what the problem could be. Thanks for trying to help :-)

I smiled with pleasure when I saw your pictures, Florence. The colors are wonderful. I'm a complete sucker for ZD's colors. You wouldn't think it would go with the other rose, but it does! After your very rough time, I hope these roses give you all the joy you deserve.

That's very pretty. I'm planting an Autumn Sunset this weekend...but somehow managed to kill the little Zeffy Rose I had :(

Thanks for all your kind remarks----I really can't take any credit for the color combination---Zeffy was already on the arbor and I was short on space ----I wasn't sure what this rose was ---it was a gift so I just stuck it in were I could find room and then it started to grow and grow and grow--it is a very healthy rose and is competing with Zeffy for space but I do like them next to each other
Now I feel that AS deserves its own arbor.

Florence, great color combo. Zephirine looks like it would coordinate with so many different kinds of roses.
