Does anyone know what type of weed this is?

I found it growing awhile back and put it into this pot, before I toss it I thought I would double check and see if it is something I may want to keep.

The stem is very fuzzy.

Stephanie, That is Artemesia 'Oriental Limelight', and is very invasive in my zone so for me in fact it is a 'weed' in practice. I spent quite a bit of time digging it out several years ago.It looks nice in container combos but tends to crowd the other residents of the pot out after a time.

I looked it up and it does look like it but says it is scented and this has no fragrance to it. Not even when I crush a leaf.
I have two of them, the one I just found it is only about 3 inches. So if there are two there could be more.

It happens! If princesses comes back around, I'm sure it will get figured out. I got confused trying to decide which plant was in the closeup, then noticed they're not the same person's plants. I think Leaf offered them for comparison to Euonymus? In the original pic, the foreground plants (which I think are the ones in question?) are definitely in a row, good call. That's one of few techniques for disguise that weeds have yet to master. Probably shouldn't be saying so, giving them ideas.

The large jagged leaved plant I assume is the one you mean. It looks like a thistle, possibly Cirsium vulgare. It has wind borne seed (thistledown) so there is no way of keeping it out of your garden and it probably did not come with the mulch. You need to dig it out asap because it will develop a long tap root. BTW there is no purslane in the picture.

Uh oh, I just looked up the Green Kyllinga. I think this is exactly what I have. The yellow and purple nutsedge didn't really look similar in the photos I found online, but this green kyllinga looks exactly like what I have. And, it doesn't sound like I can easily control it. What would you guys recommend? I was feeling optimistic after being told it was just an annual grass (sandbur), but now I've got problems again.... Any herbicides I can use? Thanks, Carter
