Dead sprinkler head

Single sprinkler head on one of the zones is not working. I removed it. There is no water pressure to activate it.

Also, there is no break or leak in the line. What else could I try ? All other heads on the same zone work fine.

System is Rain Bird.

Is the head in question a spray head (as opposed to a rotary head)?
Is it the last head on the line?
Have you removed the head and flushed the line? If not, do so - and disassemble the head, cleaning the screen, nozzle, and body of the head before reassembly.

If you have valves with back flow presenters they may be able to enter the valve through this opening when it is OFF, then get sucked in when it opens. No frogs here, but I do have problems with earwigs getting in this way.

without digging up the head to be sure how it's mounted i'm going to assume it's on a fixed riser so changing to a 4'' may be a problem. if it's on flex pipe installing a 4'' is no trouble. if you don't feel like digging up the head try calling around to any sprinkler supply stores in you area and ask for a 2'' pop-up head and someone will have or can find what you need.

Your rainbow/impact sprinkler heads will allow the most water to pass through. I remove ours and soak in a pan of vinegar every couple of years to remove built up deposits.
