Mine repeats well. Do you keep it deadheaded? I do and it recycles quickly. Mine is an own root from Great Lakes Roses. It likes sun. When first planted it was in a lot of shade and was slow. I removed some of what was shading it and it blooms better.

I love this rose. My heart goes out to her. She is sort of mousy, kind of the nice girl nobody notices, pretty but plain, shy. Yes, she does much better with lots of sun and dead-heading.

I love MB. She is one of my first to bloom and the first flush is amazing. She is also very hardy and at this point in the year, her foliage looks great (everyone else is scrabbling to put on leaves). I get scattered later flushes, but I don't deadhead. Yes, she does well in full sun. I also like how she forms a tidy, small, round shrub.

Morden Blush is a real gem of a landscape plant here in the north. She is crown hardy or better in zone 4a and blooms well here. She responds well to sun, water and fertilizer.

I pruned mine today, about three weeks later than average. I ended up with 8 to 15 inches of live cane.

Others would know better than I, but it sounds like the possibility is there (from what I've learned here) that maybe your Morden Bush has reverted to it's rootstock?

Is her single, prickly cane so very different from any other year?

OOOPS!! Thanks very much for all the posts!!! The pictures do look my first year with Morden blush. I am keeping an eye on the sprouting cane with suspicion. A real sun-lover - I messed up then, she is actually in a front corner spot that I wouldn't call the most sunny in my small garden - I thought she would be OK there as these roses were bred to be tough.

If she is a real sun lover (as evidently my failed Intrigues were, trying a third time) I'll try moving her to a better spot - thank you for all the posts! I miss the pretty flowers I had the first year.
