Maybe a nutrient deficiency? pH problem? What kind of soil mix did you use?

Could it be overwatered? If the soil is saturated for days at a time, the feeder roots die. Usually the yellowing presents first on the lower leaves.

I don't recognize any particular deficiency symptoms, but something is seriously wrong with the soil and the plant could be dying.

Lets back-track please,

Did you use all native soil when planting?
Did you amend your native soil with anything?
Did you fertilize it?
What was your planting and watering process?

Is this in the ground or a pot? Where do you live? Have you had record rainfalls like a lot of the country has had this spring?

my JP Connell has this same problem because we have had WAY too much rain. Looks like too much water to me.

There is miracle grow mixed into the native rich soil, they are planted in the ground and done within the last week and a half and yes they have been pretty moist and we are getting lots more rain today. As of yesterday the lower leaves are still green so I have been keeping an eye on it but after the rain stops today I'll go back and see what's going on.
