low pressure water for sprinkler

My back yard lawn sprinkler is throwing a radius of 2 feet(in 1 circuit).

it's a antisiphon valve connected to the back yard faucet.

There is 1 impact,1 pop up spray and 1 flash stationary spray connected to 1 valve.

I checked the psi:65 and GPM: around 15.

-i flushed the system for 10 minutes with no result

-i opened the valve , tested the flow control manually

-cleaned the filter of the spray

nothing happened!

The wire connection is connected with duct tape and it has been raining,the controller is not working for the valve ,so i tested it manually.

It's a bad design .Also the impact rotor is higher than the valve(i don't know if this is allowed)

any help will be greatly appreciated

I'm lost !!

Did you have pressure last season ?? ... or is this a new system being tested for the first time ? If this is a new system it may be a design problem but if it worked brfore it should work now ...

A bad electric valve could be a reason you are not getting pressure ... very sneaky they do not open all the way sometimes or the solenoid is rusted and does not open and flow enough ... open the electric valve manually .. What happens ? .. make sure all your manual valves are all the way open ... Double Check.

Any leaks or broken heads ?? Check carefully could be a broken nipple somewhere.

Sounds like a goofy design to me ... the rotor should not factor in much ... in theory you can subtract about .5 psi per foot of elevation above your supply source source ... the hose connection is not a good idea .. What flow do you need and how long a run ?

Sounds messy .. get some water tight connectors at your irrigation supplier. Check fuses ..

Better yet design a better system ?

Your not suppoae to mix the spray heads and the impact heads on the same zone, 65 psi is kinda low, it sounds like you have alot of friction loss in the system as well. When 2 heads are on I bet the pressure drops to 10 psi residual

HP has nothing to do with flow or psi !!! When flow increases, pressure decreases and when flow decreases pressure increases . Thats simple. The horse power required is a matter of the load you are putting on the motor. The load will be determined by the flow you demand and the pressure to overcome losses and provide said flow and the efficiency of the pump at that point. Thats almost simple. I have been asked "if I replace the 1 hp motor on this pump with a 1 1/2 hp motor, how much more pressure will I get? The answer is none at all! No increase in pressure or flow because you increase the horsepower ( all things equal) . An eletric motor is not an engine. you can keep increasing the horsepower all you want ( if the motor bolts up to the wet end ) but you have 3500 rpm or 1750 rpm. No increase in rpm = no change in pump performance ( for our purposes here ). You need to know the flow that you require and the pressure required to do the job you want the pump to do. A correctly sized pump and motor will last you 25 to 30 years or more with very little maintenance. Of course maybe the pumps at LOWES or such places are cheap enough to go through a trial and error approach and when it seems as though it is right, replace the pump every 3 or 4 years. Not something I could do. And we haven't even discussed the purpose of the pump. Household water supply? Landscape irrigation? Both? Other? Hint = Do not use the same pump for water supply and irrigation. MChristensen

Distance between heads is about 55'. I forgot to mention when the line(3 lines total) comes out of the valve and into the yard they simply "T" off and go to each sprinkler. The sprinkler closest to the point where it tees is about 10' away where the other sprinkler is over 40' away. The line coming into the house is 3/4" copper. I'm 100% certain because I put a ball type cutoff valve in(and replaced the hose bib with a ball type) when we had to tee off for the sprinkler. Rather have a close easy to get to shutoff valve than run out to the street and fight with the valve on the meter in case something happens.

All sprinklers on all zones have weak pressure? If so it is likely a supply issue ie meter not open all the way or a master valve isn't fully opening.

Electrical will not effect water pressure (unless there's a pump involved). Here's some possabilities. Trash might of been stired up and plugged all 3 facuet airators remove one or more to see if pressure returns. IF there's a backflow valve or pressure regulation valve in the hot water pipe,that could be stuck. IF you turned water supply to heater off at a valve that controls hot but not cold water,the was,her inside may have cracked or come loose or "gate"might have dropped(come loose)on gate valve. See if valve still turn's hot water completely off and on. If it doesn't,turn off water at main or meter then dis-assemble valve for inspection. If you only turned water off at main or meter,disregard above. Let us know what you find.

you need to meaasure your static pressure in the home with a "hoss bibb attach" style pressure guage, static pressure is measured when nothing else in the house is running,then turn on the rear hose bibb and see what the guage reads. next,leave
the hose bibb on and remember what its reading, then go to the
furthest bathroom and open the cold(spout) full blast on the tub, leave it running and go look at the guage and see how much it dropped if any. more than a twenty pound drop is bad
unless you already have low pressue then its worse. anyway, the measurement taken at the time the tub is running is the pressure you are working with in the sprinkler system.

thanks for helping me
we are new here in this house (months) ,the irrigation was there when we got here ( no idea if it worked before).
But i did some homework today,I tested the psi with the bath shower full open ,and it droped like 5 psi max.
then i went to a irrigation store(i took part of the valve in case there is a problem there), they said the flow control was too hard , so i bought a new valve( but didn't work).
the faucet i'm dealing with has 2 valves, so i decided to test the the other valve as well,also having the same results i had yesterday with pressure.(1 of 5 sprinkers working with pressure),but i fixed it ,and that probably means that it's not a pressure problem.
Im thinking ,it could be a underground pipe broken or dirty(when i opened the valve there was a lot of slags),clogged pipe? and how i resolve this?
