ammonium sulfate

I over-limed my soil! It's a long story but thinking about a solution I thought about using ammonium sulfate. Add nitrogen and at the same time an acidifying action. Well guess what its seems not to be available at least in small amounts for gardeners. A few years ago I bought some from a local Agway, Espoma brand, no longer available. Couldn't find a source on line either.

What has happened to the old kinds of fertilizers such as the many blends of N-P-K like 10-10-10, etc. Instead we have all these concoctions for specific plants, Azaleas, Roses, etc.

Well maybe the next approach might be urea and sulfur??
