Comments (5)I love the texture and the blue flowers. It stays upright and looks neat all summer. I don't get a lot of fall color since there is often a hard freeze before it fully develops that lovely gold. Comments (1)Roberta, I'm not sure which Amsonia you have. Probably either Amsonia hubrichtii or Amsonia tabernaemontana. I have grown Amsonia tabernaemontana for a number of years and have found that after the plant gets established (after about 3 years) you will find a lot of little seedlings popping up around the adult plants. Comments (11)They do turn yellow in the fall but because they're so small still, it's not very eye catching. When I got them I ordered them online because I didn't think I'd be able to buy them here anywhere. After they were in the ground for couple of months, I saw them at a greenhouse already established and quite tall! And they were kinda cheep, but I thought I'd already bought them once so I'll wait until these are mature. But it's taking a while so now I wish I got those as well.
