cane die back...lamarque

User

I don't know what I have done wrong except too heavy additions to the soil in an effort to do "too much good". She has got black areas all the way up the main cane now and the blossoms all drooped and turned dark and have dropped. There is one remaining healthy cane. What if anything can I do. I have removed her from the ground and placed her in a sunny area in a pot with all new potting soil. Hope....cross fingers...give up ? I have looked up all I can find and there appears to be no hope. All of my other roses including the ones right next to her are thriving. Any suggestions would be most welcome. I got her last fall and planted her 3 weeks ago. She was much happier in the original pot and looked wonderful. Thanks , caroline
