Oh. Let me tell you about when we moved ours from the tractor barn where we assembled it around to its permanent space. We lifted the assembled greenhouse onto a flat farm trailer (two old people can do it), pulled it around the pumphouse in a U-turn, parked the trailer and unloaded. Piece of cake, EXCEPT we didn't secure it on the trailer since we weren't going more than a couple hundred yards or so. We didn't reckon that a sudden stiff breeze would spring up just as we started the turn. The whole thing tumbled off the trailer, upside down. Not to worry, we were able to pick up the pieces and make it all right. A chain and a strap or two would have saved us much grief and effort. I wish I'd made pictures.

A couple of things come to mind, Brian, when reading your post. 1. The frame is aluminum, a relatively soft metal, and I fear that repeated assembly and disassembly would tend to weaken the joints. 2. In SE Michigan, you are probably going to need some considerable insulation unless you plan on spending a bundle to heat your greenhouse. This means you will also have to remove and store your insulation material. (Here in Zone 7 coastal NJ, I use 1" foam panels inside on the north wall/roof and a clear solar pool cover outside.) 3. Could you find an alternate use for the greenhouse in the warmer months? It can get pretty warm inside in the summer, but with adequate ventilation and perhaps by replacing a few of the pc panels with screen panels during the summer, you might find it useful. I find it a safe haven for plants I'm coddling: young seedlings/plantlings or other plants that need a little TLC and protection from squirrels and other garden mischief makers. 4. If at all possible, go with the 6x8 at a minimum, You'll be surprised at how quickly it fills up; your plant collection will most likely expand, now that you have space for them, and, as long as you have the space, it's nice to have fresh herbs available through the winter ... and then maybe a cherry tomato or two, and perhaps some lettuce/mixed greens ... and so on. And unless you already have a sun porch, you'll find it a delightful place to spend time on an icy but sunny winter day; that's why I keep a chair in mine. We did assemble our 6x8 HFGH in about six hours or so. My oldest son and I did the assembly and my daughter saved us time by applying the foil tape to the ends of the panels. I added the weatherstripping later, only because I didn't have it on hand when we were first assembling. Our yard is also quite small, but the space "invested" in our little greenhouse has proved to be well worth it, especially in the winter! Good luck and enjoy!

I like the black in your color scheme. A chandelier is nice decoration, but you probably want more lighting placed in the room so that any user does not have shadows cast upon his/her image in any mirror that he/she might use in the room. I do think you need more light in the room than the chandelier will provide. Of course, I like lots of light as long as it can be controlled by dimmers. There are other questions that you may want to ponder before deciding on your lighting plan --- Where will you place the chandelier? Is there any natural light in the room? What color is the ceiling, floor, and fixtures? If you decide to use sconces, then you will need to think about any plumbing or structural obstacles that might hinder their placement. Kelley

We have a small Jack N Jill style bathroom that is 3X5. Our toilet sits in front of the vanity with doors to either side, making it possible for you to walk through in the space between the toilet and vanity to each of the kids' rooms. DH and I set out to fix that room up about three years ago and found that there weren't many options. Our plumbing made it impossible to just go buy any old vanity at the store, so DH had to rebuild basically what we already had. I wished I had just painted what was there and left it at that. Your vanity was a lot nicer than what we had so you really could have painted it and changed out the hardware to give it a totally new look. If you didn't like the sink, that could have been replaced with a new top and that would leave just the walls and your bathroom would have been done. Too late, though. If you don't have a nearby closet or something, you need to consider where you would put things like toilet paper, extra hand towels and cleaners if you go with the pedestal idea. If you figure all of that out, then I would think about the pedestal but if there isn't a possible space for those items, you might need the vanity.
