Thank you all for responding to my post! I appreciate all of your help with this rose bush. I do not think it is sexy rexy because I thought it might be that rose, so I ruled it out when I went to a rose show in my area today and saw sexy rexy. In fact, saw two of them and they were too light and too pink to match my rose. I do think this is a grandiflora rose since all roses are in a cluster. I am posting a couple more pictures of my rose to show how it looks when it starts to fade. (when it fades it turns more pink) I also did a petal count on one rose and count was 43. I also am thinking if it is not Camelot it could be Montezuma. I was looking in some old JP catalogs and saw Montezuma and looked very similar. Does anyone else have this rose or Camelot? I am leaning towards Camelot because the shape of the bush looks just like my mom's 50 yr old Queen Elizabeth. The leaves are very large and this bush is very disease resistant. Jackie, if you're still following this thread, here is a photo I found of reddish new growth on the mature plant that doesn't belong to me; this photo dates to August of last year, so the red cast to new leaves isn't only in spring, although it may be more likely then: That is about as red as I see anything on the plant itself. I did see some of this reddish new growth on the plants I rooted from cuttings this spring, but now the larger of my plants is putting out lots of leaves that are green from the start: Something I meant to ask about is the reddish stamens. My flowers pretty much always have a bright red tinge to the stamens, but someone familiar with 'Pax' said they didn't think that was characteristic of the plant. In the first photo you posted, it does look a bit like the stamens are red, but I'm not sure if that's just the lighting in the photo, or if your flowers normally have red stamens. Thanks, Virginia

I am new on it and it was my first time starting a post and uploading a picture here, so, as you might have noticed, I had some problems with it! I also was thinking about Botrytis, so it is great that you mentioned it too. Once more, THANKS a lot! PETALOID THANK YOU too, because I think you have identified exactly the rose I posted. I also thought about ´Mrs. Foley Hobbs´ (1910) and ´Souvenir de Pierre Notting´ (1891). There are in HMF many pictures that are extremely similar, but the pictures of ´Mlle. De Sombreuil´ from Jerod are almost the same than mines. If you have some time, please check them anytime and tell me what you think about these other two varieties. ps.: by the way, have you seen the other white blended rose I have posted to identify?. Maybe you are lucky again! :D

As requested, the inside of the bloom and the whole plant, as well as the bud again which is now starting to open and a bonus shot of a really odd conjoined leaf. This shows no sign of being pruned, so I'm guessing it's either fairly new (unlikely) or 3' to 4'-ish is its max height. Maybe 5'? I need to pay attention next time I'm out there. The black fence behind it is 4' anyway. We're on the water so we're quite temperate here. The surrounding area even 1/2mile inland is Zone 8 and gets both warmer and colder than we do. It seems to have too many petals to be Golden Wings. According to helpmefind.com that has 5 petals and I'm seeing at least 8 in these photos (I didn't count while I was out there). It definitely doesn't have pink edges, so not Ellen Wilmott either. I'll need to remember to smell it next time I pop out. I have a terrible sense of smell so it could be scented. I'm not sure if it's a repeat bloomer. I honestly didn't remember what color it was - I'm quite pleased it's yellow as I've just planted a yellow mini rose at its feet and it's at the edge of my flame garden! We've been here two years and were only just getting started cataloging our plants. I have a goal to figure out what roses we have this spring at the very least. There are quite a lot of them scattered around the property. We found a new white one we hadn't even seen before buried inside a hydrangea just yesterday. I'll pop it up here - I'm not having much luck with an ID on the Antique Roses forum.
