Crown Princess Margareta/Huntington Rose(Alan Titchmarsh) in Ohio

I was just curious to those of whom have had experiences with these two roses in Z6b or a climate similar to NW Ohio. I was mainly curious in what kind of growth and size you get from each rose. CPM is a new planting this year from a 2.5 gal pot in a semi-shady/dappled sunlight area and I planted The Huntington Rose last summer in full sun from Roses Unlimited. Both are doing fine, but I noticed The Huntington Rose grows a little differently than all the other roses. Does it have a musk or rugosa background in it's parent's? It's been a rather spindly and slower grower despite having all day sun, but the soil is alkaline and poor clay to say the least...it's not doing bad...it has buds and is putting out new growth, but it's spindly and this spring will be the first time I've seen The Huntington Rose bloom.
